TranWare Enterprise Vehicle Maintenance Monitoring Module

TranWare Enterprise is a complete transportation solution, with several optional modules as described in this website. One such optional module is a fully integrated vehicle maintenance system, called Vehicle Maintenance Lite.

This module operates together with the Dispatch and Cashiering modules, so that when a driver is checked into a vehicle at the beginning of a shift, the administrator, dispatcher or cashier is prompted to enter the vehicle mileage. Again, at the end of that driver’s shift, the mileage is entered.

With Maintenance Lite, preventative maintenance schedules can be defined for each vehicle, specifying a mileage and/or time interval for each type of planned maintenance. For example, oil changes every 5000 miles or 3 months, brake pads every 12000 miles or 12 months, etc.

TranWare will prompt the operator when a vehicle is due for maintenance. At that time, it can be checked into the shop or scheduled to go into the shop. Once it is assigned for service, it can no longer be assigned to a driver or the fleet.

Detailed records for all maintenance can be tracked and numerous reports on maintenance schedules and expenses can be produced. All detailed vehicle information is maintained. TranWare Maintenance works with Driver Cashiering as well, so that at all driver assignments, shifts and trip records can be tracked against maintenance expenses.

For larger fleets, the system is available with TranWare Enterprise Maintenance, which performs all of the tasks above, but also has complete parts inventory management capability, with a complete vendor purchase order system. The Enterprise version can be added to any existing TranWare Enterprise system or ordered as a stand-alone client-server solution.
