TranCard™ mobile credit card processing is available either as a stand-alone service or as an integral part of our digital dispatch systems. TranCard™ allows any type of service organization with a field workforce to process credit cards in each of their vehicles, using cellular phones as the wireless data device. In addition to in-vehicle credit card processing, TranCard™ may be ordered with an optional live vehicle tracking module, called TranTrac™.
TranCard™ leverages the widespread availability of low-cost cellular phones, such as Mototola Direct Connect phones from Sprint/Nextel and specific models of Motorola phones on the AT&T network. A broad array of service organizations already use these phones for voice communications, making the leap to in-vehicle credit card processing with or without vehicle tracking very cost effective.
TranCardâ„¢ can process credit cards two different ways:
Each of your drivers would be equipped with a Nextel type Direct Connect or AT&T cellular phone, on which the TranAir™ java application is installed. To process a credit card, your driver would launch the TranCard application on his phone with a single button press, then choose on the TranAir menu whether to process a pre-authorization or a charge. The phone then prompts the driver to swipe the card or manually enter the card number, expiry date and amount. This information is transmitted to your office over the wireless network and processed by the module at your office. An approval number is sent back to the driver in a few seconds. If the driver has the printer/swipe, then a receipt will be printed for the driver and customer. It's that simple.
TranCard™ users may at any time add on the TranTrac™ vehicle tracking module for an incremental monthly cost. TranTrac™ uses the GPS capability of cellular phones to track the real-time movements of your fleet. As you will already have the data plan and the handsets, upgrading is very simple.
At any time, you may update your system to our powerful TranWare Enterprise Dispatch System, which features TranAir™ Automatic Digital Dispatch to cellular handsets. Tranware Enterprise is available with a full suite of optional modules, including Order Entry, Dispatch, Billing, Driver Navigation, etc. Although Tranware Enterprise was designed for the passenger transportation and paratransit markets, it has the flexibility to operate in many other vertical markets, including Courier, Towing, LTL Trucking, Cartage, General Delivery, Designated Driving, Street Sweeping, Medical Delivery and many other fleet dispatch oriented businesses. Contact Future Quest to determine if TranWare Enterprise suits your business.
TranCard™ customers that upgrade to TranAir™ digital dispatch may also connect their cellular phone to specific models of taxi meters in order to generate an automatic flag trip when the meter is turned on. Once the meter is put into a "Loaded" status, a loaded trip will be automatically added to the phone and to the dispatch screen, without the driver having to do anything on the TranAir™ menu whatsoever. This means that your dispatcher is kept informed at all times and will always know when a passenger is in the vehicle. At the end of the trip, when the driver turns the meter back to "Vacant", the trip will be marked complete on the dispatch screen and removed from the handset.
