iTRAK Fleet Manager™ Overview
The iTRAK Fleet Manager™ (iFM) vehicle tracking system is a highly functional, easy-to-use and reliable application. iFM has been in service since 1997 and yet it is still constantly being improved. As iFM is an internet based system, there is no software to install or maintain, nor are there maps that require licensing or upgrading. As new features are added to the system, they are made available to all iFM users, most often at no extra cost. Click here to view a list of the features offered by iTRAK Fleet Manager™.

iFM uses Microsoft.Net maps which are known for their accuracy, attractiveness and fast rendering speed. They are the only internet-based maps that are updated quarterly.
iFM is sold normally as a hosted service; whereby customers that contract for services can access their fleet over the web for a monthly fee. For clients with a large number of private fleets, iFM is also available as Enterprise software that can be hosted and managed internally by the client's IT department. The iFM user interface is written in Java, a language developed initially for web based applications by SUN Microsystems. For compatibility, the system can run on any Java2 compliant platform, including Windows(NT, 2000, 95, 98, XP), SUN or LINUX workstations, and even Apple computer platforms.

The iFM system supports multiple account entries for each Fleet, and the system can support up to 250 vehicles per account; though we recommend that accounts be broken up into sub-fleets of 25-50 units for ease of operation. GPS positions or 'bread-crumb trails' can be shown as directional arrows, or as individual points on the map. The system allows the user to select from a range of standard icons and color combinations for each individual vehicle. Vehicle icons can display not only location, but the time of the position, as well as the speed and GPS status.

The system stores position information for up to 60 days. During that time, position data can be downloaded by individual vehicle or fleet for review of the vehicles movement. The system includes 7 different reports which may be viewed on-screen, printed or saved directly into Microsoft Excel format. When viewing a report on-screen, right clicking on any line in any report will display that incident on the map. The available reports include mileage by state/province, speeding with definable speed limit, stops, summary, activity, landmark and detailed reports.
For select accounts, geoFencing (shown above) can be setup to send out electronic messages to indicate when a vehicle has arrived or left a particular location. The feature is selectable on an individual vehicle or fleet-wide basis.
Position devices (such as iTRAKpro) which include IO triggers, can also utilize iFM's Alert Server interface to send out electronic messages whenever an IO event (such as an emergency button being activated) is detected while the system is in wireless-coverage.
The system supports an open interface for mapping and geocoding, as well as an open interface for device-location format. The system also supports an open API which can be utilized by third party software providers to add tracking functionality to their vertical market applications.
