PhoneLink™ for GPS Capable Mobile Phones

Motorola i355 GPS TrackingPhoneLink™ provides real-time GPS based personal tracking and two-way messaging enhancements to any GPS enabled, Java capable iDEN phone, such as the Motorola i355 series available from the Nextel and Telus Mike networks. These revolutionary phones are packed with the industry's most extensive list of capabilities, including Direct Connect™ digital two-way radio, cellular telephone, email, web browsing, voice dialing, voice memo, speakerphone, large display, rugged construction and a built-in GPS receiver from industry leader SiRF Technology, Inc. The i355 is an industry-standard power tool used by a wide range of mobile professionals and service fleets.

To add APL (Automatic Personal Location) tracking capability and full two-way canned and free form text messaging to the cell phone, a java application is purchased on a one-time basis and programmed into the phone. Next, add a wireless data option to your Nextel or Telus Mike plan. Then, simply subscribe to the Fleet.NET™ GPS mapping and tracking service for a low monthly fee. Never before has a full featured GPS tracking and wireless messaging solution been so simple and cost effective.

The combination of the PhoneLink™ java application with its companion mapping application, Fleet.NET™, provides a powerful range of features unsurpassed in value. PhoneLink™ will report its position, speed, heading and other information to the mapping application (Fleet.NET™), on virtually any combination of speed, distance and time, as well as stops and starts, where it will be displayed on digital street maps. Because PhoneLink™ is completely programmable over-the-air remotely, these factors can be changed to suit each user's requirements.

For fleet managers that require a mix of portable and fixed-in-vehicle tracking devices, PhoneLink™ can be mixed on a Fleet.NET™ system with CommVision2020™ units, which can be interfaced to external inputs and outputs on a vehicle. This also allows fleet managers to both track drivers and vehicles separately if required.
