CommVision

The CommVision™ is a rugged portable data terminal which provides integrated GPS technology and wireless e-mail capability. The CommVision™ is available in either portable or fixed in-vehicle configurations, allowing your vehicle tracking needs to be met seamlessly. The CommVision docking station installs in seconds and plugs into the vehicle's cigarette lighter. LEDs indicate charge status and either GPS Connectivity, Printer, Bar Code Reader, or Credit Card Swipe connectivity via the RS-232 port.

While compatible with Fleet.NET mapping software, the CommVision™ is designed to seamlessly integrate into any third party PC or UNIX based dispatch or business management application. Its parameter-driven, open architecture design utilizes the unique MidLink™ router/middleware to provide error-free wireless data transmission over a wireless packet data network of your choice.

Capture signatures for the ultimate proof of delivery or service

A whole new level of service is offered by capturing the customer's signature for the ultimate proof of delivery and/or proof of service. This optional feature reduces paperwork for the mobile users, dispatchers and office administrators while improving the billing cycle. The signature is captured and stored in the CommVision™ where it is either compressed and transmitted wirelessly to the host for processing or downloaded at the office via RS-232 port.

PowerLink , a dynamic applications generator and loader for fast, easy, and trouble free field implementation.

The PowerLink programming tool is the ultimate in simplicity and flexibility. It allows you to create your own applications, forms and menus in hours - instead of days or weeks. PowerLink also provides a convenient "template" form which can be easily modified to meet your organization's needs. Once the forms are complete, they can be downloaded in seconds to the CommVision(s) via RS-232 port.

Human voice text-to-speech for safe driving and ease-of-use

Reading messages can create a safety hazard for the driver. To prevent this read and drive syndrome, the CommVision™is equipped with optional human voice text-to-speech.
