TranWare Desktop Dispatcher Brings Affordability to Small Transportation Fleets

Future Quest Wireless is pleased to announce the release of TranWare Desktop Dispatcher, a comprehensive dispatch system that is optimized for small fleet operators with 50 vehicles or less. Building on the success of TranWare Enterprise, TranWare Desktop Dispatcher provides a means for small Taxi, ParaTransit and Black Car companies to streamline and modernize their dispatch operations.
Desktop Dispatcher requires only a small startup fee that includes complete system setup and training. The system is then rented on a month-by-month basis with the ability to cancel anytime upon 30 days notice. Desktop Dispatcher is bundled with a comprehensive support package that includes no-cost system updates and 24-7 emergency help desk. Customers may add capabilities to their system as their needs and budgets grow, with the ability to convert to a full TranWare Enterprise system at any time.
Desktop Dispatcher can be configured at the time of order to suit the needs and budget of each transportation company. The base configuration is a CAD Dispatch (Computer Aided Dispatch) program that will dramatically accelerate call-taking with Caller-ID pop-in and automatic Trip Reservation History. Trips reservations, standing orders and future trips appear on the dispatch screen at the appropriate time, where they can be assigned to the first available vehicle in the closest zone. TranWare Desktop tracks the current status and location of all vehicles and trips, helping the dispatcher make fast, effective trip assignments.
TranWare Desktop Dispatcher customers can add on TranAir™ at any time, which provides digital dispatch to off-the-shelf, low-cost Nextel phones. With TranAir™, over 90% of voice traffic is eliminated, with trip assignments going to the vehicles electronically and trip status updates from the drivers seamlessly updating the dispatch screen. Drivers are empowered to earn more revenue and service customers faster with the ability to see where trips are available and bid on trips without losing their current zone position. Optional GPS vehicle tracking is also available with historical playback capability.
TranWare Desktop customers may add on Billing & A/R functionality, which greatly simplifies and accelerates the process of billing completed trips to a third party account. This makes the solution ideal for small transportation companies that provide non-emergency medical or sedan service. Also available a la carte, is the highly respected TranWare Driver Cashiering module, which tracks all driver related costs and revenue, allowing administration personnel to completely automated the processing of driver lease and voucher fees.
